Bid Summary:
SGR Estimating firmly believes the Bid Summary is within the realm of the Electrical Contractor’s responsibility and interest. At the contractors request and through mutual agreement, another service SGR Estimating offers is complete Electrical Estimating packages for the Electrical Contractor. While our primary focus is to provide accurate take off, we also can furnish upon request a completed estimated including;
Take off, Data entry, Estimate extensions, Price quotes and Final bid summary.
Take Off:
At SGR Estimating, the Take Off is considered the backbone of the Electrical estimate. The take off is where counts, lengths and equipment costs originate and a high degree of skill is applied to gather accurate information. We understand the take off to be one of the most critical steps in the development of an accurate cost analysis. Shane has also
developed several worksheets to help record and communicate the take off information with Project Managers and estimators.
Data Entry:
At SGR Estimating we offer an optional service of entering the take off into A software system of the clients choosing. Shane is most proficient with the McCormick system ESI-12000 Database, but is continually acquiring new system skills. With a Software system Database the estimate can be structured and organized to fit almost any bid format required.
This software also enables the estimate to be exported to a spreadsheet format for further Manipulation by the Contractor or Project Manager.
Review Plans:
The First step in developing a quality estimate is to review the construction documents: this includes all of the construction drawings, specifications, addenda, and all related
Documents pertinent to the electrical installation. Depending on the complexity of the Project and If required, a comprehensive overall summary can be provided. After a strategy for the estimate is Planned, then the estimate moves to the take off stage.
